ABOUT THE DI FOUNDATION

The Destinations International Foundation is a nonprofit organization that focuses on future innovations, incubating new tools, resources and programs to empower destinations globally. Unlike the Destinations International Association, which addresses the immediate needs of destination organizations and members, the Foundation serves as the industry’s think tank, driving long-term growth and development through research and resource investment. The Destinations International Foundation incubates developmental programs, resources and tools to help destinations excel. Look at many of the innovative pilot programs launched by the Foundation that have now become critical resources managed by the Association for hundreds of destinations worldwide.

WHY INVEST IN THE FOUNDATION

Investing in the DI Foundation directly fuels the innovation and development of new products, resources and tools that destination organizations rely on to succeed in the communities they serve. Every dollar raised bolsters destination organizations, directly benefiting the businesses that depend on the travel and tourism industry. By supporting leadership development and innovative programs, partners play a crucial role in shaping a future of skilled professionals and forward-thinking solutions while fostering stronger global collaboration. This partnership positions businesses as key contributors to economic development, enhancing their corporate social responsibility and helping them prepare for future challenges.

DI FOUNDATION - WAYS TO CONTRIBUTE

Depending on your partner category you could be either required or asked to contribute to the Destinations International Foundation. Your contribution amount is listed on the Partnership Guide under each Partnership Tier. Below are several opportunities to select where your investment goes. Please note that you can diversify your contribution and pick multiple options below:

Annual Foundation Investment – This is our general fund that supports the DI Foundation's initiatives and ensures the long-term success of the Association. The funds raised go towards the development of future programs, research, resources and tools.

HBCU Scholarship Fund/Pledge – The HBCU Scholarship Program aims to attract underrepresented and ethnically diverse students pursuing degrees in hospitality and/or tourism management, offering financial support and professional development opportunities to help them build successful careers in the travel and tourism industry. There are also opportunities for Annual Convention event scholarships for HBCU students. Anne Daly Heller 30 Under 30 Scholars Fund – The Fund will directly contribute to the development and expansion of the 30 Under 30 program, giving exceptional young leaders the opportunity to experience networking and professional development that will support and advance the entire destination organization industry. Event Scholarships for Small Market / Global Member Destinations – The Destinations International Foundation is pleased to offer eligible employees of small market destination organizations ($3 Million or less operating budgets) and members from outside the United States opportunities for registration scholarships to attend Destinations International events. Funds will be moved to offset the first year’s membership dues for a new destination organization member if there are not enough applicants at DI events. In-Kind: Donate An Item – We invite you to support the Destinations International Foundation Silent Auctions, which include the CEO Summit and Annual Convention, by contributing items. Items for the silent auction can include destination trips, company services and products, hotel stays, access to attractions or local festivals, unique experiences, luxury items, local goods and, of course, company swag.
