According to the World Health Organization, 1.3 billion individuals, or one out of six people, live with a significant disability. This translates to 70 million Americans, over 10.5 million Canadians, and more than 120 million residents across the European Union. By 2030, 73 million U.S. Baby Boomers will be 65+. Nearly half, 43%, will identify as having a disability. When you include partners, caregivers, and family, that grows to 288 million people whose travel decisions are driven by accessibility in the US alone. We have an incredible opportunity to welcome new visitors to [our destination] and this playbook is designed to help you build your 2030 strategy.
